Meals on Wheels Web App
Designing a custom web app for Meals on Wheels was a project I could truly sink my teeth into. Meals on Wheels plays a vital role in delivering food and care to vulnerable members of the community, and I was excited to support their mission through better technology. In partnership with Parallel, we developed a tool that empowers staff and volunteers to serve their community more efficiently.
To understand how data could best support the design, I began by mapping out how users, meals, shifts, routes, and client information interact. This data map laid the groundwork for both design logic and technical structure. I then created low-fidelity block frames to explore user flows and technical requirements, which evolved into a fully realized design system and high-fidelity prototypes.
The final product consolidated disconnected systems and paper-based processes into a single intuitive platform.
